Hiring a private taxi for the entire Hyderabad to Manali journey is the most comfortable option for road travel. It allows you to take halts whenever needed and reach Manali at your own pace. The total distance is around 1900 kilometers which can be covered in 40-45 hours.
You can also opt to travel by state transport or private buses for a budget trip. There are no direct bus services between the two cities. You will need to break your journey, and change buses and routes to cover the distance. Some route options to explore are:

Hyderabad - Delhi - Manali
Hyderabad - Ambala - Manali
Whichever bus route you choose, be prepared for an exhausting and uncomfortable 2-3 day journey if going by state transport buses. Private Volvo buses provide a safer and more convenient option but are more expensive.
